Program offerings in this strand are designed to support and guide teacher leaders, instructional coaches and other individual contributors who are aspiring to the role of assistant principal. The content will help professionals to both determine their interest in and aptitude for the leadership responsibilities of that position. Additionally, once an individual has determined his or her suitability for the role, content is offered to begin the process of preparation. Ideally, districts will nominate and refer potential candidates who will receive development support in small group settings over a specified period of time in order to help create a pipeline of capable and experienced leaders for the future.
