Participation is restricted to district level leaders.

NOTE:  Participants will not be permitted to register to attend this workshop with their subordinates or supervisor. 

Session Description

Working in an environment with unscrupulous leaders can have a negative impact on organizational trust, team-building, communication and morale. Stephen Covey states that leaders need both competence and character, encompassing accountability, professionalism and respect for others. John Maxwell states that moral authority is the highest level of influence.  He says that it is the recognition of a person’s leadership influence based on who they are more than the position they hold.  It is attained by authentic living that has built trust…and earned by a lifetime of consistency.  This session will review ways in which individual leaders in a school or district can learn to build moral authority, pinpoint behaviors that detract from this foundation, and create a plan for a values-based culture.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations are subject to a $60 cancellation fee.
• Cancellations must be submitted in writing to april@scasa.org by February 11, 2025.
• Cancellations received after February 11, 2025, will not be refunded.
