Audience
Participation is restricted to early career elementary, middle and secondary assistant principals (APs) and highly recommended for second-year APs.
Session Description
In every leadership role, at every level of authority, working effectively with teams is essential. The goal of teamwork is to generate multiple ideas, divide assignments, and build on relationships. As an AP you are asked to both lead teams and perform as a subordinate in the larger team led by your principal. What are the most prudent actions in each role, as leader or as team member? In this session build your leadership platform by learning how to lead in team situations and how to be a valued team member when your role is to follow others.

Requirements for Contact Hours
- You will only receive credit for the number of contact hours in which you participate.
- In order to earn your Gold certificate, you are required to complete each full-day workshop in the Silver and Gold Strand series in its entirety.
- If you only attend a portion of the day and want to receive the Gold certificate, you will be required to re-register, pay, and attend the entire session when scheduled the following year.
