Audience

Participation is restricted to anyone who has completed a strand in the past or is currently enrolled in one session.

NOTE:  Participants will not be permitted to register to attend this workshop with their subordinates or supervisor. 

Session Description

Most school leaders today encounter many stressors related to recent changes to the school environment – heightened expectations, political disagreements, due dates, meetings, difficult students, adult and child mental health issues, and a never-ending flow of assignments. As leaders balance all of these issues while working for 50 hours or more a week, emotional resolve starts to weaken. When this happens, leaders lose patience, find their jobs less meaningful, and even develop health issues.

This workshop is designed to give participants the tools they need to identify workplace stressors, end self-deprecating talk, build communicative workplace structures, and calmly deal with change. As a result, participants will be better able to calmly handle daily upsets, have better relationships with coworkers, students and parents, and find greater happiness and satisfaction in day-to-day work life.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations are subject to a $60 cancellation fee.
• Cancellations must be submitted in writing to april@scasa.org by September 19, 2023.
• Cancellations received after September 19, 2023, will not be refunded.
