Transformational Leadership

November 1, 2023

In this session, we will explore the idea of transformational leadership—the kind of leadership that causes change in systems.  It creates valuable and positive change in followers with the end goal of developing followers into leaders. This session will walk participants through four components of transformational leadership to support district leaders in efforts to make a real difference toward a shared vision of positive change.

Fast Forward: Changes Leaders Must Embrace (Book Study)

January 11, 2024

Change is so rapid today that education leaders must do more than stay the course to be successful.  Good leaders adapt and shift.  If leaders are not nimble and ready to adapt, they won’t survive.  They cannot be the same, think the same, and act the same if they hope to be successful in a world that does not remain the same.  In a book study format, participants will learn the behavioral shifts necessary to keep innovating, improving, and influencing others to their highest level of success in today’s high-change environment.

A few weeks prior to the session, you will be receiving the book Leadershift, by John Maxwell, to prepare for your participation.

Moral and Ethical Leadership

February 28, 2024

Working in an environment with unethical leaders can have a negative impact on organizational trust, team-building, communication, and morale. Ethical behavior tends to be a broad term, encompassing accountability, professionalism, and respect. This can make pinpointing behaviors to change difficult. Sometimes individual character changes are in order, but sometimes a district or school needs to systematically change its overall culture.   In this course, district office leaders will learn how to pinpoint unethical behavior, create a plan for an effective ethics program, and deal with unethical staff/leaders.
