ForwardDistrict-Level Leaders: Silver Strand - 2023
Audience
Participation is restricted to district-level leaders.
NOTE: Participants will not be permitted to register to attend this strand with their subordinates or supervisor.
Pre-registration and payment are required to attend all CEEL workshops. No walk-ins will be accepted.

The Center for Executive Education Leadership (CEEL) District-Level Leaders: Silver Strand includes three workshops designed to support your professional and personal growth. Participants are required to register for the entire series. Individual course registration is not permitted.
Because the Work of Leaders' session includes an assessment, the deadline for registration is August 29, 2023.

The Work of Leaders—What Does the Research Say?

The work that leaders do—that really matters—can be boiled down to three areas: crafting a vision, building alignment, and championing execution. This session provides data compiled over 30 years of leadership research to provide knowledge on the specific, tangible behaviors and best practices needed to truly lead and effectively influence others to achieve big goals.
The Art of Influencing Others
November 9, 2023
Truly effective leadership requires having strong influencing skills. Whether influencing without authority, influencing change, or influencing the agenda of senior leadership, the ability to influence is key for leader success. This module helps leaders quickly grasp the fundamental principles of effective influence, build self-awareness, and become equipped with the tactics necessary.
Preparing for the Role of the Superintendent
February 21, 2024
Part I of this session will address the cohort’s primary leadership challenges based on the Work of Leaders assessment. Part II of the session will outline the critical skills and experiences expected by school boards and needed to compete effectively for the position of superintendent.

- Because the Work of Leaders' session includes an assessment, the deadline for registration is August 29, 2023.
- SCASA does not accept purchase orders.
Fellowships Available
- Fellowships are available for those who both register for the series and attend each full-day session in the series.
- 50% for all assistant principals (ALL school districts)
- 50% for district-level leaders and principals (Plaintiff school districts only)
- Fellowships are in the form of a reimbursement payment to school districts after series completion. Reimbursements will be submitted to school districts by May 2, 2024.
- In the event the reimbursement should be made payable to the participant, SCASA will require that an authorization form be completed and signed by an official in the district office's accounting department.
Cancellation Policy
- Because of the special rate provided for registration in all three sessions, cancellations must be made by August 29, 2023.
- Cancellations are subject to a $140 fee, to be deducted from the fees incurred at the time of registration.
- Cancellations must be submitted in writing to april@scasa.org by August 29, 2023.
- Cancellations received after August 29, 2023, will not be refunded.
Requirements for Contact Hours
- You will only receive credit for the number of contact hours in which you participate.
- In order to earn your Silver certificate, you are required to complete each full-day workshop in the Silver Strand series in its entirety.
- If you only attend a portion of the day and want to receive the Silver certificate, you will be required to re-register, pay, and attend the entire session when scheduled the following year.
